Our business unit brings together engineers, architects, surveyors, designers, place-makers, project managers and transport planners to provide collaborative and coordinated value design solutions for our clients, both domestically and internationally. Due to our expanding portfolio and continuing long-term Client relationships, we have an exciting opportunity for Public Health Engineering experts to join our multi-disciplinary team. The team is involved in a broad range of interesting UK and International project types including research facilities, defence, rail and aviation infrastructure and passenger facilities, high-tech production facilities, community decarbonisation and infrastructure renewal schemes, education, energy, water and environment. Key requirements for this role are strong communication skills with collaborative working and a positive, can-do attitude. You will need to run regular check-in meetings to review progress, design development and decisions, and to constructively resolve any blockers with project teams. You will need to be able to work independently and take responsibility for decision-making and output deliverables. Strong design coordination and collaboration skills with the ability to work and assume a key role within multi-disciplinary design teams is a key aspect of this role. This role is based on a Hybrid basis from our London Bridge office If working full time employment with Jacobs, that is 40 hours per week Here’s what you’ll need A strong technical background in the Public Health elements of Building Services Design, Construction and Procurement Chartered Engineer and member of recognised professional institution – CIBSE or CIPHE Relevant experience in the design and specification of sustainable co-ordinated designs for potable water supply services, foul and rainwater drainage, sanitation systems and fire suppression systems in a variety of buildings A working knowledge of all other Building Services disciplines Ensure compliance with British Standards, Building Regulations, CIBSE Guidelines, regulations, relevant international and industry standards Experience in leading MEP teams through all stages of work winning, design and procurement and an understanding of the multi-disciplinary design processes You’ll nurture excellent relationships with clients, generate business, resolve problems and exceed client expectations Delivery of design projects from concept to completion to a high quality – always considering safety and with solutions to eliminate health and safety risks Ability to lead or work within a team of engineers and designers, liaising directly with clients and other design team members – cross continental experience and the ability to travel within the UK and internationally for client purposes is required Project Management experience Our culture Our values stand on a foundation of safety, integrity, inclusion and diversity.
