At Jacobs, we’re tackling the world’s most critical problems across cities, environments, and infrastructures. We invite a quantity surveyor early in their career to support our major highways projects in the UK.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Supporting delivery of major highways schemes across the South East, specifically for a major project in Essex.
  • Applying cost intelligence principles to improve project performance.
  • Working across pre-contract and post-contract phases.
  • Producing cost estimates, forecasts, and reports that drive decision-making.
  • Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams across clients, consultants and contractors.

Qualifications

  • A degree in Quantity Surveying or equivalent experience.
  • Consultant level experience in quantity surveying, especially highways.
  • Experience in both pre-contract and post-contract estimating.
  • Exposure to consultancy environments (or a mix of consultancy and contractor experience).
  • Understanding of cost intelligence / data-driven cost management.
  • A proactive mindset with a desire to learn, question, and grow.
  • South East based – Essex or National Highways Schemes.
