We're looking for a motivated Venue AV Technician to join our live events team, supporting the delivery of a wide range of productions across a busy venue environment. Working with professional audio visual technology, you'll gain practical experience across conferences, exhibitions, awards ceremonies, gala dinners, product launches and sporting events while helping to deliver exceptional experiences for clients and audiences. This role offers an excellent opportunity for someone looking to build a long-term career in live event production. You'll receive hands-on training with a broad range of professional AV equipment before progressing into onsite event delivery, working alongside experienced technicians on increasingly complex productions. If you're enthusiastic about technology, enjoy learning new skills and thrive in a fast-paced environment, we'd love to hear from you.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with the installation, testing and operation of audiovisual equipment for live events.
- Support technical teams during event build, live operation and equipment removal.
- Prepare equipment for events, ensuring all systems are tested and ready for deployment.

- Assist with the maintenance and organisation of venue-based audiovisual equipment.
- Help manage equipment inventory and ensure storage areas remain clean, organised and operational.
- Carry out routine equipment inspections and report any faults or maintenance requirements.
Team Support
- Work closely with technicians, freelance crew and production staff during event installations and de-rigs.
- Collaborate with colleagues across technical and operational departments to ensure successful event delivery.
- Learn from experienced team members while gradually taking ownership of more technical responsibilities.
About You
We're looking for someone who is passionate about technology, enjoys solving problems and wants to develop a career within the live events industry.
Skills & Experience
- An interest in professional audiovisual technology with some practical experience in live events or a similar technical environment.
- A willingness to develop knowledge across audio, video, lighting and event production systems.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Working Hours
As with most live event roles, working hours vary depending on event schedules. Although the majority of work takes place during the week, evening and weekend working will be required from time to time.
