Our client is searching for an eDiscovery Manager to provide expert consultancy and technical guidance, with a strong focus on eDiscovery solutions. This role will be responsible for driving global eDiscovery policies and ensuring consistent implementation across regions. Working closely with senior leadership, the eDiscovery Manager will align eDiscovery strategy with wider legal and business objectives. Acting as a subject matter expert in contentious LegalTech, they will advise on complex matters, support high-value and high-risk cases, and mentor team members to build capability and deliver projects to the highest standards.
The successful candidate will join a globally connected, high-performing team that partners closely with lawyers and practice groups to deliver exceptional client service and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities- Provide expert advice and support to contentious practices globally on all aspects of eDiscovery and associated LegalTech tools.
- Ensure compliance with best practices, processes, and quality control standards, maintaining consistency of service delivery across regions.
- Strengthen client relationships through direct engagement, ensuring matter optimisation aligns with client objectives and expectations.
- Oversee and contribute to eDiscovery projects from inception through to completion, ensuring timely, high-quality delivery.
- Develop and implement policies to support effective resource allocation, balancing client requirements with regional demand.
- Collaborate with the Matter Optimisation Contentious Portfolio Manager to introduce new processes and workstreams, including GenAI use cases.
- Provide technical expertise to troubleshoot and resolve issues, ensuring systems and services operate efficiently and reliably.
- Support the design and delivery of training programmes and materials for a broad range of end users.
- Extensive experience (8+ years) driving matter optimisation and implementing best-practice eDiscovery solutions within a global professional services environment, ideally within the legal sector.
- A proven track record of managing and delivering multiple LegalTech projects, with strong project planning and execution capabilities.
- Demonstrated experience leading and developing high-performing teams, including effective resource allocation and performance management in complex, fast-paced environments.
- Strong technical expertise in Relativity administration, including user access management, security controls, performance monitoring, and advanced analytics; Relativity Master certification is highly desirable.
- Solid understanding of legal pricing models, profitability, and service delivery, with a mindset focused on innovation and continuous improvement.
- Professional certifications such as PMP or ITIL would be advantageous.
