The Lighting Technical Lead will work across a wide range of sites, responsible for the rigging, operation, and technical support of lighting systems throughout the business. They will support projects from initial client brief through to onsite delivery and live operation. In addition to onsite responsibilities, the role will involve specifying equipment, producing technical drawings, and booking all required resources to ensure events are delivered efficiently and to the highest standard. The Lighting Technical Lead will report directly to the UK Group Head of Lighting.
Key Job Responsibilities
- Equipment Operation
- Be competent/comfortable in operation of at least 1 console family out of Avolites, ETC Eos or MA.
- Capable of basic fixture maintenance/repairs.
- Some experience in using CAD design software such as Vectorworks, Capture, Wysiwyg or AutoCAD.
- Experience in working in teams and on their own onsite.
- The ideal candidate will either be able to demonstrate or have experience in dealing with a variety of production stakeholders, either designers, producers or production managers.
- Understands the technical aspects of the job and demonstrates operational ability to troubleshoot and problem solve with equipment and software issues.

Job Qualifications
- 2-3+ years of lighting experience is required.
Competencies
- Safe and compliant fixture rigging.
- Sufficient knowledge of DMX and simple network systems.
- Appropriate knowledge of production power.
- Experience working at height.
- Ability to read and understand industry standard lighting plans/plots.
- Basic understanding of rigging and rigging best practices.
- Required compliance of all health and safety guidelines.
Physical Requirements
Work for this role can be both office based and working onsite, often for extended periods of time. Physical requirements vary per onsite role but basic manual handling and working at height will often be required. Due consideration and reasonable measures can be taken.
