We’re recruiting a Head Lighting AV Technician on behalf of a high-profile events and conference venue in Central London. The venue delivers a wide range of domestic and international events, including conferences, exhibitions, award ceremonies, corporate events, and live productions. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Lighting Technician looking to step into a senior, venue-based role with leadership responsibility in a technically advanced environment.

The Role
Reporting into the senior technical management team, you will take ownership of all lighting systems and operations across the venue. You will be responsible for ensuring lighting infrastructure is maintained to a high standard, while supporting the delivery of live events through hands-on technical expertise.
Key responsibilities include:
- Leading on lighting operations, including patching, configuration, and ongoing maintenance
- Providing technical leadership, training, and mentoring to AV Technicians in lighting disciplines
- Rigging and de-rigging audio, lighting, video/data, and display systems
- Ensuring all work complies with Health & Safety regulations and venue procedures
- Supporting live events and working directly with clients, demonstrating strong communication and customer-facing skills
- Working collaboratively with wider technical and operational teams to deliver seamless events
This role will require evening and weekend working in line with event schedules. Overtime or TOIL will be provided.

You will be an experienced Lighting or AV Technician with:

- A proactive, solution‑focused approach to live event delivery
