We are seeking an experienced Commercial Audio Visual Site Manager to lead AV installations on live construction and refurbishment projects. This is a hands-on, on-the-tools role, combining site management responsibilities with high-quality AV installation work. Reporting to the Senior Project Manager your main duties of your job are shown below. The successful candidate will take ownership of AV delivery on site, managing engineers and subcontractors, coordinating with main contractors and other trades, and ensuring installations are delivered safely, on programme, and to a high technical standard.
Key Responsibilities- Site Management
- Act as the primary AV lead on site, representing the AV contractor at site meetings
- Manage daily site activities, programme, and labour allocation
- Coordinate with main contractors, M&E, IT, and other trades
- Ensure works are delivered in line with construction programmes and method statements
- Maintain accurate site records (RAMS, daily reports, variations, snag lists)
- AV Installation (Hands-On)
- Carry out and oversee installation of commercial AV systems including:
- LED and LCD display systems
- Projection systems
- Audio systems (speakers, amplifiers, microphones, DSP)
- Control systems (Crestron, AMX, Extron or similar)
- Video conferencing and UC solutions (Teams, Zoom, etc.)
- First and second fix AV infrastructure, containment, cabling, terminations
- Support testing, commissioning, and fault-finding where required
- Team Leadership
- Supervise and mentor AV engineers and subcontractors on site
- Ensure best practice installation standards are followed
- Monitor productivity and quality of workmanship
- Health, Safety & Compliance
- Enforce site health & safety standards at all times
- Ensure compliance with RAMS, site rules, and company procedures
- Carry out toolbox talks and site inductions as required
- Proven experience as a Commercial AV Installer / Lead Engineer / Site Manager
- Strong hands-on AV installation background
- Experience managing AV works on construction sites
- Excellent technical knowledge of professional AV systems
- Administration skills including typing and reporting using MS Office applications
- Ability to read and interpret drawings, schematics, and specifications
- Confident communicating with clients, contractors, and consultants
- Strong organisational and problem-solving skills
- Experience working on corporate, commercial, or large-scale AV projects
- CSCS card (or equivalent)
- SSSTS or SMSTS
- IPAF / PASMA
- Proactive and solutions-focused
- Calm under pressure in live site environments
- Professional, reliable, and well-presented
