We are seeking a skilled, enthusiastic, well-mannered AV Venue Technician to help us and our customers provide seamless live events. Working with venue operations staff alongside our internal creative and technical teams, you will run the day-to-day events and ensure all equipment is maintained in good operational condition within our venues. You will provide training and support on site through the initial weeks of operation of these new facilities, to ensure the site team has confidence in operating the new systems/products we have implemented.
We’re the UK market leader at what we do, with a tremendous and professional delivery team. We’ll need your professional events and technical experience, and you will need to think on your feet and be prepared to step up and deal with fast-changing, sometimes difficult situations.
Key Responsibilities
- Train site staff on how to operate day-to-day services and basic system operations
- Ensure the smooth operation of AV events at the venue
- Schedule maintenance tasks for AV equipment
- Work with the internal creative team to ensure content is tested and delivered in the correct event formats
- Resolve problems dynamically as issues arise
- Document issues and feedback to help with future solutions
- Communicate with venue operations staff and customers about service elements and demonstrate equipment functionalities to support future sales
- Assist project producers/product managers in developing packages within the trial venue
- Provide feedback to developers, testers, delivery managers, and customer support to manage improvements and new products
- Support the launch of new features and product improvements through Customer Success, Customer Services, Marketing, and Go-to-Market teams
- Support Change Management initiatives for affected stakeholders
- Identify and understand risks and issues
- Provide support to the wider team on less busy site days
- Maintain communication with stakeholders across the business
- Be hands-on and collaborative within a small, fast-moving team
Required Experience
- Prior AV experience (Video & Projection as a bonus), including end-to-end projects, system setup, user training, and problem solving
- Experience documenting procedures and training others
- Basic video editing, presentation creation, and Photoshop skills
Required Skills
- Proactive and resourceful: quickly identify issues and develop practical solutions
- Ability to travel and be away within the UK regularly
- Full UK driver’s license and own vehicle with appropriate insurance
