Job Description
Were looking for an experienced and hands-on Field Service Engineer to join a leading team delivering high-quality electronic display installations across the UK. You will be involved in the setup, commissioning and maintenance of cutting-edge LED and TFT display systems, from smaller digital signage to large scale high impact video walls.
The client is recruiting engineers nationally, with particular opportunities available in Bolton, Eltham, Peterborough, Bracknell, Bristol and Edinburgh. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with strong technical skills, a practical mindset and a passion for seeing projects come to life in diverse and dynamic environments.
Role:
To carry out the Installation, Commissioning and ongoing Maintenance of Electronic display equipment.
Equipment types are predominantly LED and TFT displays from 21 inch diagonal up to and including large scale LED installations over 100 square metres in size. Including the display(s) media players, communications and system control equipment.
The equipment would typically, though not exclusively, be installed in one of the following locations:
Offices.
Factories.
Sports stadia.
Exhibition and conference venues.
Retail premises.
Leisure facilities including concert venues, amusement parks, hotels, bars, restaurants and sports facilities.
Airports.
Railways including stations and on platforms.
Bus and Tram interchanges and stops.
Roadside advertising sites.
Roadside traffic (VMS) applications.
Car Parks.
On board cruise ships.
Educational facilities such as schools, colleges and universities.
Any of the above facilities or locations whilst under construction.
Mandatory requirements, skills and experience:
Full UK driving licence
Working outdoors
Working at heights
Diagnostic skills in IT, electrical or electronics
Working in a field based service, installation or commissioning role
Willing to work out of hours (nights or weekends) if required
Desirable requirements, skills and experience:
Driving licence with category B pre 1/1/97 or C1 post 1/1/97
Information Technology, Electrical, or Electronic Engineering ONC/NVQ level 3, or equivalent/associated qualification
IPAF Powered Access Licence categories 1b, 3a, 3b
Working at heights training
CSCS card for Construction or related occupation
PASMA scaffold tower erection and use
