Role Description

This full-time, on-site Retail Sales Executive role is based at our store in Reading. The Retail Sales Executive will welcome and engage customers, provide knowledgeable advice on diamond jewellery, engagement rings, wedding rings, and designer collections, and support customers in making confident purchasing decisions. Day-to-day responsibilities include conducting sales transactions, maintaining product displays, managing stock on the sales floor, and ensuring the showroom is presented to a high standard. Repair take on, valuations and selling items enquiries are also common. The role also involves building long-term relationships with customers, handling after-sales enquiries, and collaborating with colleagues to deliver exceptional service.

Qualifications

• Strong Retail Sales and Sales skills, with the ability to convert customer interest into purchases.
• Excellent Customer Service and Relationship Building capabilities to create trust and encourage repeat business.
• Clear and confident Communication skills, both in person and over phone/email, to explain products and processes effectively.
• Interest in jewellery, luxury goods, or fashion, with a willingness to learn about diamond and fine jewellery specifications.
• Previous experience in retail or a customer-facing environment is highly desirable.
• Ability to work on-site in Reading, including weekends and peak trading periods, as part of a rotating schedule.
• Strong attention to detail, numeracy for handling transactions, and reliability in following store procedures.
• Multi tasking, adaptability and a good sense of humour are also key
