The predicted salary is between 30000 - 40000 £ per year.

Responsibilities:

  • Ensuring compliance with the New Roads and Street Works Act (1991) and related regulations.
  • Conducting inspections of street works and highway activity, capturing real‑time data and issuing defect notices.
  • Collaborating with stakeholders such as police, client teams and statutory undertakers to resolve traffic‑management issues.
  • Supporting the development of procedures and policies, resolving third‑party complaints, and contributing to best‑practice network management.
  • Representing Jacobs and Hertfordshire County Council as a professional and accountable inspector.

Qualifications:

  • Valid NRSWA Supervisors accreditation with experience in a street works environment from a Highways Authority and/or Utility Company.
  • Experience with the DFT Street Manager street works system, including noticing / permitting types and protocols.
  • Experience working within a street works permitting environment such as the East of England Permit Scheme.
  • Full, clean driving licence; ability to travel by Jacobs vehicle (van) and use mobile phone.
