About the Opportunity

Have you ever considered a role working in the Energy and Power market? Wondering how you can develop and deploy your skills in a new and exciting sector? Our UK and Continental Europe team is growing and we’re looking for an Electrical Engineer who can progress in Protection & Control / Secondary Design to provide support to projects across Jacobs’ markets. This includes work on transmission system assets, HVDC interconnectors, energy storage systems, inertia systems, wind farms and advanced facilities for mission critical industries in the technology and process sectors. We will consider technical professionals from most backgrounds, but we are especially keen to seek experience within rail, oil and gas refinery, substation/plant design.

Here's what you'll need

  • A degree in Electrical Engineering or another relevant engineering discipline and Chartered Engineer status with a relevant institution or working towards chartered status
  • Experience within an electrical discipline and experience in delivering complex multi-disciplinary projects e.g. Rail or Oil and Gas Refinery
  • Relevant, professional experience in HV and LV experience 33kV - 400kV
  • Experience preparing design calculations, reports, and detailed drawings. CAD (AutoCAD or Microstation) preferred but not essential.
