At Jacobs we are working on major UK highways projects. The role is for an early‑career Quantity Surveyor who will move beyond spreadsheets to deliver real project responsibility.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Supporting delivery of major highways schemes across the South East, specifically for a project in Essex.
- Applying cost intelligence principles to improve project performance.
- Working across pre‑contract and post‑contract phases.
- Producing cost estimates, forecasts, and reports that drive decision‑making.
- Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams across clients, consultants and contractors.
Qualifications:
- Degree in Quantity Surveying or equivalent experience.
- Consultant level (not a fresh graduate) in Quantity Surveying with highways experience.
- Experience in both pre‑contract and post‑contract estimating.
- Experience in consultancy environments (or a mix with contractor experience).
- Understanding of cost intelligence / data‑driven cost management.
- Proactive mindset, eager to learn, question and grow.
