In this newly created role, you will join our growing team responsible for the design, development and delivery of sludge treatment processes, including our own Jacobs Bioresources process technologies, from strategic concept FEED stage through feasibility, engineering, installation, acceptance testing, reliability, performance trials and asset management.
Responsibilities:
- Strategy and Innovation development.
- Environmental and economic regulation management.
- FEED – Front‑end engineering design of solids handling, municipal sewage sludge treatment digesters, pre‑treatment processes and associated equipment.
- Engineering analysis and modelling.
- Asset management and planning.
Qualifications:
- Background in bioresources, wastewater, composting, food waste, municipal solid waste, or food processing industries.
- Experience with biomass processing.
- Design of digesters, pre‑treatment, or associated equipment.
- Design of solids handling processes, odour control, composting, drying, biosolids and aerobic processes, anaerobic digestion.
- Design of municipal sewage sludge treatment facilities.
- Emissions to air mitigation.
- Design of odour control and abatement systems.
- Odour/methane emissions modelling and sampling.
- Relevant academic qualifications, such as a bachelor’s degree or higher in chemical or mechanical engineering.
