We’re excited to offer an opportunity for a Principal Structural Design Engineer to become part of our growing and inclusive Building Structures team. You’ll work on high‑profile projects across airports, technology facilities, data centers, refurbishments, rail infrastructure, and energy developments.
Responsibilities
- Lead the design and specification of building structures to ensure robustness, safety, and sustainability.
- Integrate modern digital tools and 3D design practices into large‑scale projects.
- Provide structural inspections and report defects.
- Collaborate closely with clients, architects, and stakeholders to maintain confidence throughout every project stage.
- Mentor and inspire junior engineers, fostering commercial awareness to safeguard budgets and timelines.
- Apply international codes and adapt designs to diverse global contexts.
- Champion sustainability and safety to meet technical standards and responsibility to people and the planet.
Qualifications
- Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (or equivalent).
- Chartered Engineer with relevant professional membership.
- Strong experience in building structure design and specification to standards and regulations.
- Proficient in structural analysis/design software (e.g., Robot, ETABS, SAFE) – advantageous.
- Ability to conduct structural inspections and report defects.
- Knowledge of multi‑disciplinary design processes.
