Senior Land Quality and Remediation Consultant. You will work across a number of industrial sectors, delivering strategic subject matter expert advice and innovative geo-environmental solutions to ensure projects and clients comply with environmental liabilities.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement strategies for land quality assessment and remediation.
  • Deliver remediation strategies (excavation, soil treatment, capping layers, gas protection).
  • Support the implementation of ground investigations and geo-environmental assessments to evaluate land contamination and environmental risks.
  • Support geo-environmental assessments.
  • Undertake Quantitative Risk Assessments.
  • Design remediation strategies (excavation, soil treatment, capping layers, gas protection).
  • Ensure compliance with UK planning, environmental, and regulatory requirements.
  • Produce validation reports to discharge planning conditions.
  • Prepare detailed reports and presentations for clients, stakeholders, and regulatory bodies.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior consultants and team members.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Geology, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Demonstrable experience in geo-environmental consultancy.
  • A proven track record in supporting industrial sector projects across the full project lifecycle.
  • Sound understanding of Detailed Quantitative Risk Assessment approaches.
  • Excellent understanding of environmental legislation and risk assessment methodologies (including UK and international site evaluation and due diligence standards such as ASTM).
  • Good understanding of emerging contaminants such as PFAS.
  • Digital data assessment expertise.
