Environmental Consultant (Contaminated Land)

Your impact

In this new role you will gain the opportunity join our Environment Team, a diverse group including engineers, geologists, ecologists, and environmental scientists responsible for the implementation and management of geo-environmental investigation, assessment and remediation.

From consenting on major multidisciplinary projects and programmes, through to remediating some of the most challenging sites in Europe, you will be an integral part of the team that both helps and supports our clients understand their environmental impacts and opportunities, facilitating the development and implementation of sustainability policies and strategies.

Responsibilities of the role will include:

  • E nsuring Health and Safety organisation is a core component of all stages of works.
  • Support and coordinate field projects such as groundwater sampling, drilling, including site attendance.
  • Conduct operation and maintenance of remediation treatment units.
  • Coordinate soil and groundwater remediation works, e.g., excavation, in-situ treatment.
  • Deliver field electronic data capture, data management using databases, utilising field equipment (transducers, probes).
  • E valuate data and creating groundwater monitoring technical and site investigation reports.
  • Supporting technical data interpretation and evaluations including soil and groundwater risk assessments.
  • Undertake Phase 1 and Phase 2 land contamination assessments.
  • Complete relevant chapters (Soils & Geology, Hydrogeology, Waste) of Environmental Impact Assessments (EIAs).
