This position is part of a highly interactive, multidisciplinary team focused on advanced facilities such as semiconductor manufacturing, assembly & test and other state‑of‑the‑art sites. We design some of the most complex and specialized facilities being constructed today and support full‑scope services from feasibility studies to construction documentation.
Responsibilities
- Organize, assign, and delegate designer tasks to produce construction documents with a team of engineers and designers.
- Layout and design HVAC systems for semiconductor manufacturing, assembly & test, and other advanced facilities.
- Develop mechanical system designs in cooperation with mechanical engineers, including HVAC, cleanroom HVAC with precise temperature/humidity control, and plumbing system design.
- Create conceptual and preliminary design documents, including airflow diagrams, general arrangements, and 3D models.
- Layout ductwork systems based on Process and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&ID) and Air Flow Diagrams (AFD).
- Produce final design documents, perform QC and clash detection of 3D models.
- Coordinate with electrical, structural, architectural, civil, and process disciplines to develop integrated designs.
- Participate in design reviews and risk assessments.
- Mentor and provide guidance to less experienced designers on a project‑by‑project basis.
- Demonstrate strong communication, interpersonal skills, and the ability to work in a fast‑paced team environment with multiple deadlines.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum qualification of a technical or associate’s degree/diploma in building services, mechanical engineering, or a relevant field.
- At least 4 years of Revit HVAC design experience.
- Excellent written and spoken English.
- Knowledge of codes and standards related to HVAC system design.
- Adaptability to work within a fast-paced team environment with multiple deadlines.
- Ability to interact with other engineering disciplines, clients, and vendors.
Ideal Experience
- Software experience in AutoCAD, Carrier HAP, Trane Trace 700, and Trane Trace 3D.
- Experience in designing mechanical, plumbing, and utility systems.
- Working knowledge or experience with Navisworks, AutoCAD, CADWorx, or SmartPlant 3D.
