As an experienced Water Environment Consultant, you will join our Water Catchment Management team in Scotland. You will become part of a highly respected, ambitious and collaborative team. This is your opportunity to work on, lead and deliver a portfolio of industry leading solutions to some of the most significant high profile infrastructure projects in the UK - where your expertise will have a real influence and impact on project outcomes. Your impact as a key member of the team will include:
- Coordinating and reviewing Water Environment chapters for EIARs, ensuring technical accuracy and regulatory compliance.
- Being recognized as the technical lead on water environment topics such as water quality, hydromorphology and flood risk for major infrastructure projects.
- Ensuring all environmental deliverables of projects are maintained to a consistently high standard, on time and to budget.
- Collaborating with engineering and design disciplines to maintain the overall integrity of infrastructure designs.
- Supporting colleagues and peers during their personal and professional development, through mentoring, coaching and knowledge sharing.
- Fostering and developing trusted, collaborative relationships with clients.
- Promoting a strong health, safety and wellbeing culture within the team.
Qualifications we would love to hear from candidates who bring a strong blend of technical expertise, project experience and collaborative working, who have:
- Degree qualified in a relevant environmental subject.
- Membership of a professional body, and have chartership or actively working towards it.
- Proven experience of delivering Water Environment chapters for EIARs for major infrastructure projects.
- A robust understanding of environmental impacts associated with major infrastructure projects.
- A demonstrable track record in facilitating, reviewing and delivering high quality outputs.
- A sound working understanding of key environmental legislation, policy and issues.
