As a Client Account Lead, you’ll be the trusted partner collaborating with major clients: combined authorities, transport bodies and city leaders, helping them turn bold ambitions into reality. You’ll bring together strategy, insight and delivery to unlock opportunity, influence investment decisions, and manage programmes end to end across the infrastructure lifecycle. This is a role for someone who doesn’t just manage relationships - you help further them, nurture them and turn them into lasting partnerships. You’ll be out front, driving conversations that matter and ensuring we consistently deliver exceptional outcomes for our clients and communities.
What’s In It For You: Joining Jacobs is more than a job: it’s a platform to grow, spearhead projects and make a genuine difference:

- Join an inclusive, collaborative culture where diverse thinking is valued and innovation thrives
- Expand your impact beyond a single sector, working across transport modes and multidisciplinary teams
- Work alongside inspiring leadership, including strong female role models shaping the future of mass transit
We empower you to be entrepreneurial, to take ownership and to bring your ideas to life - because your growth fuels ours.

About the Opportunity: This is a growth-focused, client-facing leadership role within our Mass Transit and Light Rail sector, working across the whole of Jacobs. You’ll take ownership of strategic client accounts, primarily across the UK, while working flexibly from any Jacobs office. From the South West, East of England to Scotland, you’ll engage directly with key stakeholders across devolved and regional transport bodies. Your focus will span three core pillars:
- Opportunity Development – shaping client needs into deliverable, high-value programmes
- Bid Leadership – driving compelling, commercially strong submissions by bringing together the right expertise
- Relationship Growth – leveraging and expanding your network across clients, partners and contractors
You’ll play a critical role in positioning Jacobs as the partner of choice: known not just for technical excellence, but for collaboration, trust and our ability to deliver at scale. This is not a role for someone on the sidelines. It’s for a hands-on, commercially minded doer who thrives on making things happen - someone who can confidently step in front of clients and lead from the front.
Here's what you'll need: We’re looking for someone who combines industry credibility with a passion for growth and delivery:
- Strong experience in mass transit, light rail or complex infrastructure programmes (multi-modal experience welcomed)
- Proven ability in client engagement, opportunity shaping and strategic account growth
- Demonstrated success in winning and delivering bids, with strong commercial awareness
- A well-established network across clients, partners and/or contractors
- Confidence and credibility to engage senior stakeholders and influence outcomes
- An entrepreneurial mindset - proactive, self-motivated and driven to create opportunity
- A collaborative approach, with the ability to bring people together and deliver as one team
What matters most is your ability to connect the dots, manage portfolios and deliver real impact.
