This role offers an opportunity to develop your commercial skills through a broad range of cross-functional interactions and experiences, including taking responsibility for your own P&L. Reporting to the National Account Controller, the National Account Executive works with key stakeholders both internally and externally, including the JDE account and sales team, Commercial Finance, Marketing, Demand Planning, and retailer buying teams to design and execute effective growth plans. This is a hybrid role based in Maidenhead (3 days a week) with travel to customer sites and internal off-site events as required.

Working closely with the National Account Manager, National Account Controller, and internal planning functions, you will be accountable for planning and executing key activities within your account team, including:

  • Promotional planning – from setup and forecasting to tracking and evaluation to inform future strategies
  • Performance tracking – understanding and providing feedback on brand performance based on sales, share, and competitor data
  • System setup – ensuring all products are correctly set up in all systems with accurate pricing and line details
  • Forecasting – accurately loading expected demand into relevant systems to ensure adequate stock levels for retailers
  • Invoicing and accrual tracking – linking customer agreements and promo performance to ensure funds are available to pay invoices
  • Managing P&L and external relationships of smaller customers – building confidence with stakeholders and understanding internal systems and processes
  • Customer shopper activation management – maximizing impact and understanding what has worked, best practices, and competitor activities
  • Growth opportunity projects as needed, such as online optimization, convenience execution, and field sales activation
  • Supporting the wider National Account team with activities like new line setup, weekly sales calls, price file and promo plan management, and cross-functional collaboration for seamless processes
