Job Description
Understanding the dynamics of the UK Coffee market, and JDE’s performance versus other competitors is a crucial part of our mission to become the UK’s most chosen Coffee company. The Market Intelligence Manager is responsible for delivering clarity of performance across the business, whilst ensuring a detailed understanding of the UK Coffee Shopper in order to support our goals of sales growth, penetration wins and market share gains.
The Market Intelligence Manager will be responsible for our relationships with key data partners such as NIQ, Circana, GfK and others, ensuring that we build best-in-class partnerships and maximise our value from these suppliers. Supporting all our brands, the role partners with the whole of the Marketing function to diagnose brand performance, identify opportunities for growth, areas for optimisation and clarity of category dynamics, and ensuring the business has the reporting it needs for agile decision making. The role will also work closely with other business functions such as sales, category, finance and more to deliver positive outcomes for JDE as a whole.
Responsibilities;
- Management of several external Agency Relationships (NIQ, Circana, Gfk and more)
- Monthly Business Reporting
- Data Dashboarding for Marketing
- Coffee Machine Market Measurement and Forecasting
- Driving business data capability through training programmes
- Business Issue Data Analysis and Presentation
- Deliver Market Intelligence across both Retail and Out-of-Home
- Brand Diagnosis across the Flywheel (Mental Availability, Physical Availability & Portfolio Availability)
Qualifications
Should have / demonstrate:
– Significant relevant experience in relevant scale marketing business – FMCG Marketing or Data Agency
– Fully literate in Retail Measurement data (NIQ or Circana) and Consumer Panel data (Kantar or NIQ)
– Passion for Consumer and Shopper Behaviour
– Strategic & innovative thinker
– Strong numerate & analytical skills
– Strong (verbal) communication skills: able to confidently interact with a broad set of stakeholders & lead external agency partners
– Collaborates well across teams
– Technologically savvy
