Our client, a fast growing manufacturer based in Oakham, is seeking a Warehouse Supervisor. You will take responsibility for assisting the business achieve its warehousing, order fulfilment and distribution objectives, through the efficient and effective leadership of the warehousing department and its staff.

The Role:
- Managing staff by setting tasks, directing activities, prioritising workload, delivering training, coaching and mentoring and managing performance.
- Overseeing the efficient and safe unloading, receipt, put-away, replenishment, storage and stock-control of stored goods and all related processes I.e. inventory control; cycle counting etc.
- Overseeing the efficient and safe order picking, packing and preparation for loading as well as the staging, optimised loading and despatch of goods.
- Ensuring that specific warehouse health and safety requirements are adhered to
- Taking responsibility for the security of the work area and stored goods.
- Planning the locating and arrangement of goods within the warehouse and external storage areas
- Ensuring that staff and work area productivity targets are met, whilst also maintaining activity, team flexibility throughput, cost and KPI records
- Lead the implementation, training and use of systems for the department
- Promoting a healthy and safe workplace by ensuring general safe working practices and that the company’s health and safety policy is adhered to.
