Shift Pattern: Monday to Friday 7:45am to 4:30pm, overtime available

Location: Loughborough, Leicestershire

Our client is looking to recruit a saw operator for their manufacturing facility based in Loughborough, Leicestershire to join their manufacturing team. This is an excellent opportunity to work with a respected, established and growing business who genuinely recognises loyalty and ambition.

The Saw Operator Role

  • Cut acrylic and wood to required length to meet customer specifications
  • Check profile cut length on first cut and periodically check after that to ensure accuracy
  • Ensure workflow efficiency
  • Efficiently remove obvious scrap before sending to the assembly stations
  • Supply QC with samples
  • Ensure samples and trials are marked, cut and put in the correct area
  • Remove scrap materials
  • Maintain a good standard of house keeping
  • Ensure all operations carried out meet health and safety standards

The Saw Operator Candidate

  • Previous experience in a similar role within Point of Sale, Sheet Metal, Signage or Graphics
  • Competency in operating a saw
  • Ability to understand and interpret drawings / job cards
  • Able to function in a small team working to time sensitive client requirements
  • Adhering to all health and safety
