Shift Pattern: Monday β Thursday 08:30 am β 17:00 pm and Friday 08:30 am β 16:00 pm
Our client, a leading global engineering company based in Leicestershire, is seeking an experienced Quality Engineer to join their established team. The successful individual will directly support the Quality Manager and all other quality colleagues in any required day-to-day quality-related activities, so ensuring customer satisfaction and that all matters relevant to the department are sufficiently dealt with to provide a professional and efficient service to both internal and external customers.

The Role:
- Ensure all actions are carried out in accordance with company quality procedures ISO9001, TS16949 and ISO14001
- Support with establishing and implementing quality management systems
- Assist with the continuous improvement ethos and ensure working to the 5S
- Ensure that drawings are signed off by QA in a timeframe suitable for trial planning
- Generate in-process checking instructions for new products
- Internally chasing customer requirements to ensure meeting production targets
- Support with minimising non-conformances by using quality walls, 8D problem solving and Control Plans
- Exceed and meet KPIβs, production targets and customer SLAβs
- Liaise with customers to resolve any quality issues and provide a resolution
- Assist the Purchasing Department with Supplier development and assurance
Our Ideal Candidate:
- Relevant HND (or higher) level qualification
- Experience in FMEA, Control Plans, MSA, APQP & SPC would be advantageous
- A background in the automotive sector is desirable but not essential
- Attentive with an eye for detail
- Ability to read technical drawings
- Previous experience in a similar role would be advantageous
- Ability to prioritise workload and use own initiative to drive tasks to completion
