Our client is looking to recruit a saw operator for their manufacturing facility based in Loughborough, Leicestershire to join their manufacturing team. This is an excellent opportunity to work with a respected, established and growing business who genuinely recognise loyalty and ambition.
The Saw Operator Role:
- Cut acrylic and wood to required length to meet customer specifications
- Check profile cut length on first cut and periodically check after that to ensure accuracy
- Ensure workflow efficiency
- Efficiently remove obvious scrap before sending to the assembly stations
- Supply QC with samples
- Ensure samples and trials are marked, cut and put in the correct area
- Remove scrap materials
- Maintain a good standard of house keeping
- Ensure all operations carried out meet health and safety standards.
The Saw Operator Candidate:
- Previous experience in a similar role within Point of Sale, Sheet Metal, Signage or Graphics
- Competency in operating a saw
- Ability to understand and interpret drawings / job cards
- Able to function in a small team working to time sensitive client requirements
- Adhering to all health and safety
