We now have opportunities for individuals to work with a leading UK casting manufacturer based in Leicester. The General Operative – Metal Finishing role involves working as part of a team to deliver casting packages for customers and delivering excellent service. Role is full‑time ongoing temporary.

The General Operative – Metal Finishing Role:
- Carry out ingating, linishing and fettling to ensure customer quality standards are always maintained.
- Grind, sand, clean and finish parts using hand tools or power equipment such as shot blasters and floor standing power linishers.
- Trim, file, grind, debur, buff and smooth surfaces.
- Use of tabletop laser welder.
- Grind down welds using handheld grinder.
- Demonstrate manual dexterity to handle small to large, different shaped parts/items.

- The role will involve working as part of a team; demonstrating flexibility with a willingness to learn and embrace new skills.
- Ability to finish various types of metal products in a timely and accurate manner.
- Previous experience of working in a similar role within a manufacturing environment and machine operating is essential.
