Job Title; Accounts Assistant

Salary; £14,040 - £15,600 per annum
Shift; 10.00am - 2.00pm Monday to Friday (20 hours per week)
Location; Wigston, Leicester
Our client is looking to recruit an accounts assistant to join their family run manufacturing facility based in Wigston.This is an excellent opportunity to forge a career with an established company to build strong relationships, liaise with the relevant operations and ensure the smooth running of the sales department.
The Accounts Assistant Role;
* Process purchase invoices, ensuring alignment with goods received and purchase orders
* Reconcile supplier statements and resolve discrepancies in coordination with procurement and warehouse teams
* Despatch sales orders and creating sales invoices
* Book stock in , ensuring accurate recording of raw materials, components, and finished goods
* Assist with stock reconciliations and stock takes
* Support the preparation of monthly management accounts and financial reports
* Post daily banking transactions
* Maintain accurate records in the accounting and stock control
* Handle staff expenses, and company credit card reconciliations
* Liaise with suppliers, customers, and internal departments to resolve finance and stock-related queries
* Ensure that the sales ledger debtors are within their credit limits and prompt payments are received
* Support year-end audit processes and provide documentation as required
Our Accounts Assistant Candidate;
* A minimum of 5 years’ experience in a similar role is a must
* Proficient in using SAGE accounting software (or similar)
* Familiarity with accounts payable/receivable processes
* Understanding of double-entry bookkeeping
* Computer literate (office 365, Excel / word / MS office)
* Construction materials / construction industry experience advantageous
* Exceptional organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and prioritise according to business needs.
