Our client is looking to recruit a saw operator for their manufacturing facility based in Loughborough, Leicestershire to join their manufacturing team.

- Location: Loughborough, Leicestershire. Commutable from: Shepshed, Coalville, Mountsorrel, Barrow upon Soar, Syston, Leicester.
- Shift Pattern: Monday to Friday 7:45 am–4:30 pm, overtime available.
- Salary: £13.50–£14.50 per hour.

Role Overview
The Saw Operator will cut acrylic and wood to required lengths to meet customer specifications, check profile cut length, ensure workflow efficiency, remove scrap before sending to assembly stations, supply QC with samples, maintain housekeeping, and ensure all operations meet health and safety standards.
Responsibilities
- Cut acrylic and wood to required length to meet customer specifications
- Check profile cut length on first cut and periodically check after that to ensure accuracy
- Ensure workflow efficiency
- Efficiently remove obvious scrap before sending to assembly stations
- Supply QC with samples
- Ensure samples and trials are marked, cut and put in the correct area
- Remove scrap materials
- Maintain a good standard of housekeeping
- Ensure all operations carried out meet health and safety standards
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a similar role within Point of Sale, Sheet Metal, Signage or Graphics
- Competency in operating a saw
- Ability to understand and interpret drawings / job cards
- Able to function in a small team working to time sensitive client requirements
- Adhering to all health and safety
