Jacob Grey have just partnered with a successful, niche manufacturing business in Stevenage to appoint a new Financial Controller. Reporting to a charismatic and seasoned Managing Director, your duties will include:
- Overseeing the day to day running of the finance department including management and training of a small team
- Preparation of the monthly management accounts with commentary and variance analysis
- Balance sheet reconciliations and P&L
- Accruals, prepayments and journal entries
- Cashflow forecasting
- Preparation of Budgets and Forecasts
- Working closely with the senior leadership team, providing strategic advice based on sound financial analysis
- Bank reconciliations
- VAT returns
- Liaising with the auditors at Year End
- Process improvement where applicable
The successful candidate can be Qualified, Part Qualified or QBE. It is essential however that you possess a track record of success in similar roles, a keen eye for detail, tons of initiative, and an analytical mind.
