Jacob Grey have partnered with a successful Marlow based professional services organisation, and is seeking an ambitious Assistant Accountant to join the team. Alongside a credible and personable Head of Finance, this will be a great opportunity to take ownership of month end accounts and play a broader role in the financial direction of this successful and growing business:
- Monthly Accounts: Draft full set of Monthly Management Accounts with supporting schedules
- Produce reports to calculate and review Departmental Profitability
- Complete balance sheet reconciliations
- Prepare Month End journals, accruals and prepayments
- Conduct monthly variance analysis in comparison to budget
- Take full ownership of all nominal postings and maintain the Fixed Asset Register
- Produce detailed information to support budgeting and forecasting
Year End
- Assist the Finance Director with the production of the Statutory Year End Accounts
- Assist the Finance Director with the Statutory Year End Audits
The ideal candidate will be an active studier (ACA, CIMA, ACCA) or a recently completed AAT4 seeking the next phase of study. Experience with month end processes as well as a good understanding of how to complete management accounts is expected, though training to take full month end ownership will be given. Experience in a professional services environment will be considered an advantage, though not essential, as will interest in using financial software to add value to financial and commercial information.
