We have a new and exciting opportunity for a motivated and experienced Legal Administrator to join our Commercial Property team to provide efficient secretarial and administrative support to fee earners. Based at either our Stockton or Newcastle office, the successful candidate will be joining a large, successful and supportive team that has an excellent reputation and prides itself upon its ability to deliver a tailored service to all clients.
About the role
This is a busy and varied role, and the main duties will include:
- Opening and maintaining files on our practice management system Proclaim
- Obtaining ID, conducting AML searches, media checks and conflict searches
- Typing audio dictation for one or more solicitors
- Ordering property searches
- Preparing invoices and documentation relevant to client matters
- Communicating with clients and other law firms

About you
The ideal candidate for this role will:
- Have prior experience of working as a Legal Administrator / Secretary in a Commercial Property or related environment
- Possess excellent IT and audio typing skills
- Be able to prioritise and organise a busy workload
- Have strong communication and client care skills
- Be able to work well in a team and also independently
- Have the ability to pick up new skills and systems easily
- Have a keen eye for detail and be able to complete tasks with a high level of accuracy
