About the Role
We have a newly created and unique opportunity for an experienced and motivated Junior Developer to join our welcoming and professional IT department.
Reporting to the Head of IT, the successful candidate will support the development of solutions across a broad range of firm wide and departmental projects, to enhance collaboration, innovation, and the digital experience across Jacksons.
Based at our modern, open plan office in Stockton on Tees, the postholder will benefit from a varied and progressive workload including:
· Workflow development within our Practice and Case Management System
· Integration of our PMS with various platforms
· Writing queries within MS SQL
· Developing web and intranet applications using ASP.NET Core MVC and SharePoint
· Automation using VBA, PowerShell and Office Scripts and Power Platform
· Agentic AI solutions using MS Copilot Studio
· Documenting solutions and maintaining the codebase

About You
The ideal candidate for this role will have:
· A solid grounding in programming or scripting fundamentals
· Experience of working with at least one of the following (or equivalent): C#, VBA, PowerShell, SQL or .NET is preferred
· An understanding of software development methodologies and version control (such as Agile and Git)
· Strong problem solving and analytical skills with a logical approach to troubleshooting
· A willingness to learn new technologies and platforms quickly
· The ability to work both as part of a team and independently
· Strong organisational skills and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
· The ability to communicate effectively with colleagues at all levels
In addition, flexibility to travel between both our office sites, in line with the needs of the business, is essential.
