One of London's most respected super-prime residential contractors is looking to appoint a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join its growing commercial team.

This role is aimed at the kind of Senior Quantity Surveyor who's performing well within a larger contractor but feels capable of more.

Someone trusted to manage significant projects, but who finds themselves constrained by layers of management, corporate processes and limited opportunities to influence how projects are commercially delivered.

You'll join a highly regarded contractor delivering some of London's finest private residential projects, working alongside exceptional Project Managers, Design Managers, architects, consultants and private clients.

Rather than becoming one of many Senior Quantity Surveyors within a large commercial department, you'll take genuine ownership of your projects, working closely with Directors who value commercial insight and trust their people to make decisions.

The Role You'll take commercial responsibility for prestigious super-prime residential projects typically ranging from £5m£10m , overseeing every stage from pre-construction through to final account.

Projects regularly include: High-end refurbishments Structural alterations Basement construction Listed and heritage buildings Luxury fit-outs Bespoke residential developments Working closely with the wider project team, you'll manage procurement, subcontractor accounts, cost reporting, valuations, variations and final accounts while building strong relationships with clients, consultants and specialist subcontractors.

This is a role that combines commercial leadership with genuine involvement in project delivery.

The Person We're looking for a commercially astute Quantity Surveyor who enjoys taking ownership and building strong working relationships.

You'll ideally have: Experience delivering high-end residential, prime residential or complex refurbishment projects A proven background working for a main contractor Excellent commercial and contractual knowledge Strong negotiation and communication skills The confidence to work autonomously while supporting junior members of the commercial team A collaborative approach and a passion for delivering exceptional projects Most importantly, you'll be looking for a business where your experience is valued, your opinion is listened to and your career can continue to develop.
