Our client is seeking an experienced Caretaker to join the team at a luxury residential estate in Woodford. Working hours are 8am-2pm, Monday to Friday. As Caretaker, you will be responsible for the general upkeep and presentation of the building and its communal areas, while acting as a friendly and professional point of contact for residents, visitors and contractors.
Your responsibilities will include: Carrying out daily inspections of communal areas, entrances, corridors, lifts and external areas. Ensuring the building and surrounding areas are maintained to a high standard. Reporting and monitoring maintenance issues and arranging access for contractors where required. Carrying out minor repairs and basic maintenance tasks where appropriate. Managing waste and ensuring refuse areas are kept clean and presentable. Monitoring building services and reporting any faults or issues promptly. Assisting with the management of contractors and ensuring work is completed to an appropriate standard. Maintaining accurate records of inspections, maintenance issues and incidents. Supporting the building management team with health and safety procedures. Responding professionally and courteously to resident requests and queries. Maintaining a high level of security awareness and reporting any concerns. Assisting with emergencies and following established building procedures. Helping to maintain the overall appearance and reputation of this prestigious residential development.
About You
We are looking for someone who is:
Experienced in caretaking, facilities, maintenance, property or a similar environment. Practical and confident carrying out basic maintenance tasks. Highly reliable, organised and proactive. Friendly, approachable and professional in dealing with residents. Able to work independently and use initiative. Comfortable liaising with contractors and external service providers. Well presented, with excellent customer service skills. Health and safety conscious. Able to prioritise tasks and respond calmly to unexpected situations. Flexible and willing to go the extra mile to maintain the highest standards.
Experience working within a
luxury residential building, hotel, high-end property or customer-facing environment
would be advantageous.
