We are seeking an experienced Estate Operative/Caretaker to join a residential development, responsible for the day-to-day maintenance, repair and presentation of the estate.
Key duties include:
- Internal and external building maintenance
- Repairs, installations and replacement of damaged systems
- Painting, decorating, lighting and window maintenance
- Fitting hard-wired smoke and carbon monoxide alarms
- Ongoing inspections of common areas and building systems
- Working closely with concierge, management and external contractors
- Ensuring health & safety and statutory compliance
- Supporting the overall upkeep and functionality of the development
Requirements:
- Minimum 5 years property maintenance experience
- Multi-trade skills including plumbing, painting, carpentry and basic gardening
- Organised and practical problem-solver
- Able to respond to emergency issues when needed
- Reliable, personable and proactive
- Able to work independently and within a team
- Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions
