Our client is a prestigious private residential development in West London. A permanent vacancy has arisen following the retirement of a long-serving team member, and they are seeking an exceptional Day Porter of the same calibre to join their front-of-house team.
20 weekday shifts + 1 weekend per 35 days
- Weekday shifts: 7am-5pm or 9am-7pm
- Weekend shifts: 7am to 7pm
£35,850 per annum
Role to start in July 2026
The successful candidate will be the professional face of the building - manning the reception desk, managing deliveries, overseeing building security and CCTV, conducting patrols, and providing a warm, helpful service to residents at all times. On weekdays the role is part of a small team of porters; at weekends and when covering nights, the postholder works as a lone worker on site.
Key responsibilities include:
- Greeting and assisting residents and visitors
- Logging parcels and registered mail
- Monitoring access and security
- Reporting maintenance issues
- Managing contractor sign-in
- Participating in structured shift handovers
The role also requires active involvement in health and safety procedures including fire alarm response.
The ideal candidate:
- Impeccably presented and professional at all times
- Calm, alert and responsive - particularly in security or emergency situations
- Naturally courteous, with a warm and helpful manner towards all residents
- Reliable, punctual and conscientious about handovers and record-keeping
- Comfortable working as part of a small team as well as alone
