We are currently recruiting for a Caretaker / Handyman to join a well-established residential development in Northolt. This is a hands-on role suited to someone with previous caretaking, estate management or maintenance experience within a residential environment , who takes pride in maintaining high standards across a development and enjoys being a friendly point of contact for residents. Working Hours Monday: 5:30am–1:30pm Tuesday–Friday: 8:00am–4:00pm 40 hours per week The early Monday start is required to ensure bins are put out for the council collection. Key Responsibilities: Carry out daily inspections of the residential blocks and communal areas Ensure the development is free from rubbish and kept clean and tidy Rotate and manage bins within the bin stores Put bins out for council collection on Monday mornings Carry out general repairs and maintenance across the development Complete weekly fire safety checks and maintain accurate records Meet and assist contractors attending site Identify and report defects and maintenance issues Act as a friendly and professional point of contact for residents Ensure communal areas and external spaces are maintained to a high standard About You: Previous caretaking, handyman or maintenance experience within residential blocks is essential Good general maintenance and practical repair skills Comfortable working at height and safely using ladders Able to complete basic fire safety and health & safety checks DBS check required Full UK driving licence would be advantageous Any relevant fire safety or health & safety training would be beneficial Reliable, organised and able to work independently Friendly and approachable with good communication skills Must be able to reliably get to site for 5:30am on Mondays This is a great opportunity for an experienced Residential Caretaker / Handyman looking for a permanent position with a varied, hands-on role within a well-maintained residential development.
