Job Description
We are currently recruiting for an experienced and reliable Caretaker to join a well-maintained residential development.
This is a hands-on role suited to someone who takes pride in maintaining high standards across a residential environment and enjoys working independently.
Key Responsibilities:
- General upkeep and maintenance of the development and communal areas
- Carrying out regular site inspections
- Litter picking and keeping external areas clean and tidy
- Sweeping and mopping communal areas
- Carrying out minor maintenance and repairs
- Basic painting and decorating
- Monitoring lighting and reporting any faults
- Managing refuse and recycling arrangements
- Liaising with contractors and allowing access to the site when required
- Carrying out routine health, safety and building checks
- Maintaining onsite equipment and storage areas
- Seasonal grounds and external maintenance
- Providing a friendly and professional service to residents and visitors
The ideal candidate will have:
- Previous experience in a caretaker, maintenance, facilities, cleaning or similar role
- Good general maintenance knowledge
- An understanding of Health & Safety
- Good communication and organisational skills
- Excellent timekeeping and reliability
- A proactive approach with the ability to work on your own initiative
- A professional and approachable manner
- The ability to carry out physical duties as required
