Lettings Negotiator
Location: Southend / Essex
Hours: Monday - Friday 9-5.30pm
Salary: £30,000 basic + commission + annual bonus
We are looking for a commercially minded Lettings Negotiator to join a growing residential property team.
This is a hands-on role where you’ll take ownership of the lettings process from initial enquiry through to move-in, with a strong focus on maximising rental income, minimising void periods and securing high-quality tenants.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the end-to-end lettings process for allocated properties
- Market properties across relevant portals and digital/social media channels
- Respond to enquiries, qualify applicants and manage follow-ups
- Conduct property viewings and provide a professional customer experience
- Negotiate offers and recommend suitable tenants
- Monitor market activity and make recommendations around pricing and marketing
- Maintain accurate applicant and property records
- Support check-ins, check-outs and wider property management activities
- Build strong relationships with applicants, tenants and external partners
- Manage your own diary and workload
