Jackson Quinn Solicitors is currently accepting applications for a Legal Cashier to join our busy law practice specialising in Family matters, Residential and Commercial Conveyancing and Private Client. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is looking for a stimulating and rewarding role within a well-established law practice.
Key Responsibilities
- Checking and processing legal aid bills including POA1’s and final bills, private client and conveyancing bills
- Checking conveyancing completion statements and estate accounts
- Processing client and office account receipts
- Client to office account transfers
- Taking card payments – World pay
- Checking and setting up electronic payments – NatWest Bankline
- Petty cash
Previous legal cashier experience is essential, as is attention to detail and numerical accuracy. You should have knowledge of Solicitors Accounts Rules and AML legislation. Experience with Xero accounts software and Leap Case Management system is advantageous but training can be provided. You should have the ability to work as part of a team, as well as a positive, can-do attitude in a pressurised environment. You will possess an excellent timekeeping and attendance record, and be hard working and organised, as well as adaptable and accommodating.
This is a permanent, full time role, but part time hours will be considered. The role is based in our Retford office. Salary and working hours are negotiable depending on the experience and position of the successful candidate.
