Overall purpose of the role
To provide a one‑stop residential conveyancing service to clients and referrers, delivering a consistently high standard of service while ensuring full compliance with regulatory, legislative and firm‑wide requirements.
Key responsibilities
- Manage and control your own caseload from inception through to completion
- Ensure clients obtain good and marketable title to property
- Communicate regularly and effectively with clients and third parties
- Review, check and deal with mortgage offers
- Supervise and support paralegals and/or assistants where required
- Maintain compliance with all regulatory, legislative and firm‑wide policies and procedures
- Undertake conveyancing transactions in line with the firm’s CQS accreditation
- Maintain individual competence and contribute positively to the wider Residential Property team
- Work collaboratively with the Post‑Completion and Welcome Teams to deliver a seamless client experience.
What we’re looking for
- A recognised legal qualification or substantiated conveyancing experience
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a similar residential property role
- Proven ability to manage your own caseload, including volume conveyancing
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- A flexible, organised and adaptable approach to work
- Strong problem‑solving and customer service skills
- A positive, enthusiastic and self‑motivated team player
- A strong commitment to confidentiality and professional standards
- Solicitor, CLC or CILEx qualification
- Experience supervising or mentoring junior colleagues
