Overall purpose of the role

To provide a one‑stop residential conveyancing service to clients and referrers, delivering a consistently high standard of service while ensuring full compliance with regulatory, legislative and firm‑wide requirements.

Key responsibilities

  • Manage and control your own caseload from inception through to completion
  • Ensure clients obtain good and marketable title to property
  • Communicate regularly and effectively with clients and third parties
  • Review, check and deal with mortgage offers
  • Supervise and support paralegals and/or assistants where required
  • Maintain compliance with all regulatory, legislative and firm‑wide policies and procedures
  • Undertake conveyancing transactions in line with the firm’s CQS accreditation
  • Maintain individual competence and contribute positively to the wider Residential Property team
  • Work collaboratively with the Post‑Completion and Welcome Teams to deliver a seamless client experience.

What we’re looking for

  • A recognised legal qualification or substantiated conveyancing experience
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a similar residential property role
  • Proven ability to manage your own caseload, including volume conveyancing
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • A flexible, organised and adaptable approach to work
  • Strong problem‑solving and customer service skills
  • A positive, enthusiastic and self‑motivated team player
  • A strong commitment to confidentiality and professional standards
  • Solicitor, CLC or CILEx qualification
  • Experience supervising or mentoring junior colleagues
