Job Title: Residential Conveyancing fee earner
We have a new vacancy available within our Residential Property team for a Fee Earner to work across our Liverpool and Churchtown Offices.
Reporting: Reports to the Team Leader and Head of Department.
Office Location: Liverpool City Centre & Southport, Churchtown Office.
Overall purpose: To handle a full caseload of files from inception to completion with minimum supervision and keeping all work to a high standard within the Residential Conveyancing department. Also delivering a professional, responsive, high quality service to our clients ensuring full compliance with policies and procedures laid out by the Firm and by regulatory bodies. To act as an ambassador for the Firm at all times, actively promoting its services.
Key accountabilities:
- To manage a case load of residential conveyancing claims from onset to completion therefore experience in conveyancing is essential
- Deal with Purchase, Transfer, Re Mortgage and Sale transactions
- Build and maintain strong relationships with all of our Clients
- Also liaise with estate agents, mortgage lenders and Solicitors
- Be able to delegate work to paralegals where you feel appropriate to do so
- Ensure that the client obtains good & marketable title to the property
- Checking and dealing with the offer of mortgage
- Supervision of paralegals/assistants
- Compliance with all firm-wide, regulatory & legislative procedures & policies
- Maintaining individual competence in the role to a satisfactory level
- Undertaking conveyancing transactions in line with the firm’s CQS accreditation
Qualifications:
- Recognised legal qualification (SRA, CLC or CILEx)
- Qualified licenced conveyancer
- CQS accreditation
- Proven experience within Residential Property (Minimum 5 years)
- Proven experience of managing your own caseload (Minimum 5 years)
- Proven experience of volume conveyancing (Minimum 5 years)
