This role will involve supervising whilst remaining hands on assembling, testing, commissioning and servicing complex structural and mechanical equipment. With diverse projects to be involved in and a dynamic role to be part of a small close knit team, this is an excellent opportunity for someone wanting a long-term position.
Job Description
- Ensure a quality build, following agreed assembly & inspection procedures.
- Assist with the production of standard operating procedures.
- Ensure the completion of Production Documentation, Jobcards, Internal Acceptance Tests (IAT), Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT) and pre-delivery checklists.
- Provide technical support and training for customers, which may involve site visits of both a national and international nature, both offshore & onshore.
- Fault finding and detailed reporting when conducting service work.
- Maintenance of workshop tools and machinery.
- Develop, train and mentor team members.
Skills Required
- HNC/HND Mechanical Engineering.
- Relevant experience from heavy industry, Oil & Gas background or ex forces.
- Welding and fabrication skills, MIG, stick welding for steel products.
