We're delighted to be supporting our client, a specialist in precision engineering, with their search for an experienced Business Development Manager. As a marketâleading manufacturer of precision machined components and assemblies, in markets including BioâTech & Medical Equipment, HighâTech Industrial Applications, Defence and Aerospace, the team are looking for a commercially driven Business Development Manager to join the team and support continued growth in UK markets.
The role supports a wellâestablished customer base through strategic Key Account Management, while driving new business development across target markets. The BDM plays a key part in delivering topâline sales growth and improved profitability, while also supporting earlyâstage development opportunities.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and grow existing key accounts, developing and executing structured account development plans, identifying valueâadding opportunities that deepen engagement and strengthen longâterm partnerships.
- Identify and secure new business opportunities that support the strategic growth of the business, managing the full sales cycle from initial outreach to onboarding, ensuring a smooth transition and strong foundation for sustained growth.
- Collaborate closely across internal functions â such as Customer Success, Production Engineering, and Commercial â to align on customer needs, enhance service delivery and increase loyalty and sales performance.
- Contribute to strategic growth initiatives and continuous improvement projects, including exploring acquisition opportunities.

- Excellent planning and organisation skills, essential for managing our blueâchip Key customers.
- Ability to work under pressure in a high growth environment.
