Jackson Hogg is delighted to be working with a global manufacturer and designer of modular units for commercial and domestic buildings. This client is expanding their electrical team and looking to bring an experienced electrical design engineer to join a sustainable and progressive team. This is a permanent role based in the North East, with flexible working hours.
Key Responsibilities:
- To provide electrical design support to sales and our production, and project engineering functions.
- Support product development and design both in manufacture and at interface with our sales and marketing functions.
- Support production process and facility development using Grundfos Production System.
- Provide accurate and timely cost estimates to internal and external customers for control panels, electrical installations and systems.
- Support the mechanical CAD team to produce detailed production models.
- Provide technical support to production during build and test.
- Provide technical support during customer FAT testing.
Key Requirements:
- Experience in schematic design and control panel layouts.
- Able to read and follow circuit drawings and ideally have experience of control panel production.
- Able to create electrical schematics and layout drawings for Low Voltage power & control circuits and/or industrial/commercial electrical installations.
- Proficiency in Eplan Electric P8 (not essential).
- Knowledge of cable calculation software – e.g. Amtech.
- Knowledge of lighting calculation software – e.g. Dialux.
- Knowledge of EN61439 electrical standard and BS7671 requirements for electrical installations.
- Knowledge of Form 4 control panel design would be an advantage but not essential.
- Experience with advanced integrated manufacturing systems ERP/MRP - SAP is desirable.
- Attention to detail and methodical approach to planning and organisation.
- Competent with IT and the MS Office software packages (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams & PowerPoint).
