We are currently supporting an award winning water retailer to appoint an Account Manager. You will manage, maintain and develop existing customer relationships within the Industrial Account Management team. The key focus of this role is to retain and grow the existing customer portfolio by deepening the relationship with customers and becoming integral to the customer’s business operation by employing Leading Edge Account Development principles.
Responsibilities:
- Be accountable for the debt associated with your customer portfolio, ensuring payments are made to terms.
- Drive the growth of Water Efficiency Services (WES) sales within the allocated customer portfolio, working towards an annual gross margin target.
- Actively promote, facilitate and deliver water and cost saving initiatives for the customer portfolio, working towards an annual cost savings target.
- Develop and maintain a WES sales pipeline across a range of services to ensure the annual sales target is consistently achieved.
- Prepare and submit qualitative and quantitative Management Information reporting for senior management as requested, ensuring senior management are kept appraised of risks, performance and activity relative to targets and budgets.
- Review performance against set KPIs on billing, meter reading and queries.
- Contribute to the Wave business through implementation of its strategy and business plans to support delivery of the vision.
Experience:
- At least 5 years experience in Account Management, preferably focusing on industrial accounts (i.e., waste, chemical, food production).
- The ability to build relationships at all levels and establish absolute credibility with all stakeholders.
- Strategic thinking - the ability to create and implement long-term customer plans to maximise business performance.
- Commercial aptitude – to assess risks and benefits, make compelling cases, and have the influential ability to negotiate contracts and close deals.
- An understanding of the UK non-household Water Industry and water retail market.
Remote role with travel expected when needed.
