Jackson Hogg is exclusively partnering with a growing engineering and project delivery business to appoint an experienced Warehouse Manager based in Skelton. If you’re highly organised, hands-on, and confident running a busy warehouse with full responsibility for equipment, assets, and people — this role offers real scope to make an impact. You’ll lead the warehouse function across goods-in, stock control, asset tracking, and dispatch — ensuring everything runs smoothly, safely, and in line with project needs. There’s a big focus on process improvement, kit readiness, and collaborative working with procurement and operations.
Role & Responsibilities
- Leading and planning daily workloads for the warehouse team
- Driving improvements in warehouse layout, goods-in processes, and kit readiness
- Ensuring stock is accurately valued and costs correctly issued via Sage
- Managing asset tracking systems — logging, tagging, and maintaining all equipment
- Implementing stock level controls for consumables and PPE
- Maintaining accurate registers and ensuring all project equipment is inspected, certified, and accounted for
- Supporting warehouse capacity planning around project lifecycles
- Ensuring full compliance with HSE policies and safe working practices
- Acting as the warehouse lead for internal systems and reporting
Desirable Skills & Experience
- Proven experience in a warehouse or logistics leadership role
- Solid understanding of project-based warehouse operations and asset control
- Familiarity with Sage or similar ERP/stock systems
- Strong communicator and confident team leader
- High attention to detail and ability to prioritise effectively
- Proactive, reliable, and comfortable managing multiple demands
- Full UK driving licence
