We’re working with a fast-moving, small-to-mid sized distribution centre to recruit an experienced Warehouse Manager to oversee all warehouse, logistics and local delivery operations. This is a hands-on leadership role managing a team of 20–30, including pick/pack operatives and van drivers, ensuring smooth and efficient day-to-day operations across warehousing, stock control and last-mile delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage all warehouse and transport operations on site
  • Oversee a team of warehouse operatives and van drivers (local multi-drop)
  • Ensure goods are received, stored, picked and dispatched accurately and on time
  • Maintain high standards of health & safety and warehouse compliance
  • Improve processes around inventory, efficiency and delivery performance
  • Manage staffing levels, shift planning and team performance
  • Liaise with logistics partners, suppliers and internal stakeholders

About You:

  • Proven experience in warehouse or distribution management (SME or fast-paced environments preferred)
  • Strong leadership and people management skills
  • Familiarity with stock control, WMS and transport planning
  • Calm under pressure with excellent organisational ability
  • Confident with KPIs, compliance, and continuous improvement initiatives
