Jackson Hogg is delighted to be recruiting for a talented and driven Senior Mechanical Engineer to join a multidisciplinary engineering team developing advanced mechanical systems for the marine, offshore, and defence sectors. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced engineer who enjoys tackling complex technical challenges, leading design and system integration projects, and contributing innovative ideas across the full engineering lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design, development, and delivery of mechanical and electromechanical systems from concept through manufacturing, testing, and in-service support.
- Translate customer requirements into robust engineering solutions, ensuring compliance with technical, cost, and schedule objectives.
- Create 3D/2D designs, calculations, and technical documentation using tools such as AutoCAD, Creo, or Autodesk Inventor, and conduct structural/mechanical assessments including hand calculations and FEA.
- Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams (electrical, hydraulic, control, structural) to deliver integrated system solutions and support tendering/business development with design visuals, performance data, and technical input.
- Manage supplier interfaces, approve technical deliverables, witness factory acceptance tests, and participate in design reviews, client meetings, and technical presentations.
